[AI Collaboration] Visual-First English: Mastering Tenses with AI

Visual-First English: Mastering Tenses with AI

I believe that images are highly effective for English learners to grasp vocabulary, phrases, and grammar, as they provide excellent visual context. In the current era of AI, we can generate a wide variety of images easily and cost-effectively. Therefore, I am developing "Visual-First" English learning methods.

Today, I used Gemini to generate two images to illustrate the difference between the present perfect simple and the present perfect continuous tenses.

The Comparison:

1. Present Perfect Continuous

A young female engineer has been diligently repairing a car. We see her in the middle of the process, emphasizing the duration and the ongoing nature of the activity.

2. Present Perfect Simple

The repairs are complete. She has repaired the car, and now she stands confidently beside the gleaming vehicle. The "CERTIFIED" tag highlights the finished result.

By comparing these two images, learners can intuitively capture the concept of each tense.

Takeaways:

  • Images provide the necessary context for learners to grasp complex tenses.
  • AI allows us to create tailored educational visuals quickly and affordably.
  • AI-powered English learning is a method well worth exploring.
